Submission of Papers

The Symposium Organizing Committee invites all physicians and nurses to submit abstracts to the congress.

In our congress   Original research studies on hemodialysis, vascular access and fistula care, infection control, and nephrology will be included. Important information regarding abstract submission and presentation is provided below .

General Rules

  • Although the congress language is Turkish, Turkish and English papers will be accepted.

  • For papers sent in Turkish, an English abstract is required, and for papers sent in English, an English abstract is required.

  • Only research papers will be accepted.

  • Paper submissions should only be made via the e-mail address akdenizdiyalizsempozyumu@gmail.com .

  • In order for the abstracts to be included in the congress book, at least one of the authors must register for the congress.

  • All papers will be presented face to face.

  • Submitted works must not have been presented and/or published at any other event before.

  • Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Office Word format only.

  • Papers will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee in terms of scientific content and suitability.

  • Accepted or rejected papers will be notified to the authors via e-mail, along with the opinions of the Scientific Committee.

  • Full-text submission is not mandatory. However, authors who wish to submit their papers can send them via the congress e-mail address on the specified dates.

  • Papers will be evaluated through a double-blind refereeing process .

Abstract Preparation Rules

  • The symposium language is Turkish. However, papers can be presented in Turkish or English.

  • English abstracts are required for Turkish papers, and Turkish abstracts are required for English papers.

  • Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words (excluding title, author names, institutional information and keywords).

  • The font should be Times New Roman, point size 12, and line spacing 1.5.

  • The title should reflect the content, be short and concise; the first letter of each word should be capitalized and should not contain abbreviations.

  • Academic titles may be used in author names; names should be written with only initials capitalized.

  • The institution name, faculty/department, city and country information must be stated.

  • Authors should be listed in the order of their rank in the study; the name of the author who will be presenting should be underlined.

  • The abstract should include the sections “Introduction, Purpose, Method, Findings, Conclusion and Recommendations”.

  • Keywords must be between 3 and 5; Turkish keywords must comply with Turkish Scientific Terms (TBT), and English keywords must comply with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

Oral Presentation Rules

  • Papers can be submitted by the author in Turkish or English.

  • Presentations will be made in the order specified in the congress program.

  • Papers that are not presented will not be published in the congress book.

  • Participants who will present a paper must be in the hall at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.

  • The presentation duration is 10 minutes: 7 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.

  • The first slide of the presentation should include the names of all authors; the name of the presenter should be underlined.

  • All presenters must remain in the hall until the end of the session.

Full Text Writing Rules

  • The text should be written in A4 size, leaving 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • The title should be written in 12-point bold, centered, with the first letter of each word capitalized. The English title should be added one line apart.

  • Author information, institutions and e-mail addresses should be written after the title.

  • The entire text should be written in Times New Roman, 12 point, single spaced.

  • After the author information, Turkish and English abstracts should be added respectively (maximum 250 words each).

  • Tables and images should not exceed the page margins.

  • Main headings: All caps and bold

  • Second level headings: First letters are capitalized and bold

  • Third level headings: Should be written in italics and with the first letter capitalized.

  • Text in tables should be in Times New Roman, but can be reduced to 8 points if necessary.

  • References should be given in alphabetical order at the end of the text. Citations should be made in accordance with the AMA (numerical) format within the text.

  • Abbreviations should be written clearly when they first appear.

  • Full texts should be no longer than 10 pages, including references and tables.

  • The similarity rate should not exceed 20%.

  • Full texts will be published as e-proceedings book in PDF format. It will also be published on the Digital Academy website. In this case, compliance with the journal's writing rules and referee evaluation process are required. Our symposium event meets the associate professorship criteria .
